Velvet reminds me of theater. Way back in my high school days I was in about a dozen drama and musical productions, and the experience of a few of them remain some of my fondest memories. There was just something about a stomach full of butterflies while peaking out the massive, dusty stage curtain at the auditorium as it filled up on opening night. And the movement of that curtain as it parted and brushed across the scuffed wood stage to reveal our characters and performances. So when we got this gorgeous velvet into the warehouse the other day, it kind of brought me back there.
But there are so many other ways velvet can be used. And while it’s a material that’s often considered too weighty for use in your home, especially in the warmer months, with colors like these, I definitely think not!
